Ross Young

Ross Young is senior vice president, PV and displays at IMS Research USA. He is an experienced PV, flat panel display and semiconductor industry analyst having worked at GCA, Fusion Semiconductor, Brooks Automation, OWL Displays, Samsung Electronics and GE | General Displays and Technologies. In addition, he founded market research firms DisplaySearch and Young Market Research, which he sold to The NPD Group in 2005 and IMS Research in 2009, respectively. Young also authored the book Silicon Sumo: US-Japan Competition and Industrial Policy in the Semiconductor Equipment Industry, published by the University of Texas, and sits on the board of directors at Uni-pixel Displays and advisory board of LED start-up Illumitex.

Fear and Anxiety Over Feed-in Tariffs Accelerate PV Market Recovery

The PV market more than recovered in Q3′09. In fact, it reached new highs in quarterly revenues for some layers of the supply chain, as shown in the figure.
